Advanced Firearms Course Information
Advanced Pistol Skills and Firing Techniques is the next and final step in our basic handgun fundamental training series. Graduates of the Basic Firearms Course or CCW are invited to participate in this next series of drills that include: a dry fire warm up, a static line warm up, shooting on the move, and much more.
This program introduces and reinforces the fundamentals of tactical shooting and weapons handling skills under stress. The foundation is a solid understanding of basic marksmanship and weapons handling/manipulation, but tactical shooting is much more dynamic than static range training and more opposition focused than competition shooting. Speed, movement, stress, and accuracy are emphasized to create success on demand.
Requirements
- Students must be 18 years of age or older and must have successfully completed our Basic Firearms Handgun Course before taking this next level course.
Students will be required to demonstrate basic firearms safety, marksmanship, and competence in loading and unloading a firearm.
The course is a total of 3 hours. The first hour includes a refresher, safety briefing, and range-rules briefing. From there, you will transition to 2 hours of defensive tactics training and live-fire drills.
Materials Required
- *No Revolvers*
- Provide your own California-compliant semi-automatic handgun (unless you plan to rent a firearm)
- Advanced Firearm Training & Rental: $325 (comes with 200 rounds of ammo)
- 2 magazine minimum
- Long pants - "Be ready to get dirty during this course!"
- Ball Cap with Bill (for protection from expended brass and sunlight)
- Close-toed sturdy shoes (no heels)
- 200 rounds of factory ammunition (NO RELOADED AMMO)
- "Full metal jacket"
- Ear protection - electronic earmuffs recommended (available for purchase from us in advance online)
- Eye protection - safety glasses available for purchase from us in advance online

You must be a citizen of the United States or have permanent legal alien status and show a valid driver’s license or other valid photo identification to use a firearm in connection with any Services provided under this Agreement. Anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed on the range.
